October 2009 IBR Crime Statistics

The Richardson Police Department released crime statistics today for Group A offenses (i.e. murder, sexual
assault, robbery, assault, burglary, theft, and other crimes) recorded this year.

Citizen initiated calls for police service during October 2009 totaled 4,447 compared to 4,775 for the same month in 2008, a 6.9% decrease. The day of the week with the highest percentage of calls was Friday, which averaged 159 calls each week. Year to date there have been 46,303 citizen-initiated calls for service as compared to 46,260 the previous year, a 0% change.
