Player EvaluationsRating Criteria
To rate 100% of the current AYSO players in the age groups that will be playing in the U10 and above in the Fall 2009.The league wants to provide the coaches with a more detailed list of definitions to assist in ranking their current teams.Be honest and fair. As you know the teams are randomly selected each year based on the rankings within the system and the directionto load level the teams by the rankings.
The rankings will be reviewed prior to being accepted by the league.
The league reserves the right to discuss any rankings with the coaches prior to acceptance.
Any coach in the U10 and above that does not turn in a completed ranking spreadsheet will not be allowed to participate
in the upcoming MDWC tournament
Player Rankings:
The rankings are spread across seven levels. One being the highest and seven being the lowest.Below are some additional definitions/points/scenarios to assist in placing each player in the appropriate ranking.
Ranking = 10 (Highest Skills)Ranking = 20Ranking = 30Objective:
Coach Responsibility:

Performs at the highest level consistently in every game during the season.
•
Can utilize both feet with equal strength and accuracy during the game.
•
Player exudes confidence on the field
•
Player consistently uses advanced skills, techniques, and ideas with precision and fluency during the game.
•
Player is comfortable in all environments and pressure situations.
•
Always puts self in a position prior to ball being played (Anticipation)
•
Performs at the highest level in most games during the season.
•
Will use both feet, but natural foot is stronger.
•
Can dribble through multiple players and make play
•
Player shows control on the field
•
Shows ability to anticipate other teams moves
•
Player knows when to dribble and when to pass
•
Player is able to control the ball out of the air (trap)
•

Performs above the other players on same team.
•
Uses both feet equally
•
Player is able to control ball when presented on the ground
•
Pressures the ball on defense
