Jerry Brown.
Arriving early on this Sunday
morning, we were able to organize
and have the ceremony before
assembling and entering the Bikers
for Babies line, riding 35 miles to
finish the festivities at the Fort
Myers Harley Davidson.

From the Newlyweds
This was the first wedding at
the annual Bikers for Babies event,
and was definitely a one-of-a-kind.
The bride and groom shared their
special day with approximately
1,500 bikers all committed to raising
money for the March of Dimes.
When asked, the groom said that "it
was a joyous and wonderful time
that was all made possible through
the time and generosity of friends
and family". The bride echoed his
sentiments by adding "our wedding
was unique in that it had so many
like-minded, freedom loving bikers
celebrating; it was also made joyous
and wonderful because we had both
our families - immediate and the
Gulf Coast Rats - along for the
ride."
Seriously folks - the GC Rats
made our day so special and
wonderful. It was truly a once-in-a-
lifetime event for us, and we really
really appreciate
the friends and
family we have
made here.

ABOUT GULF COAST R.A.T. PACK

For those Triumph owners who are unfamiliar
with R.A.T., R.A.T. is the Riders Association
of Triumph, a national organization of
Triumph owners. The goal of R.A.T. is to
build the community of Triumph owners
through local rides and social events as
well as organizing multi-day R.A.T.
RAIDS that are attended by R.A.T.
members from around the country.
Membership to the local Gulf Coast R.A.T. is
open to those that own a Hinckley or
Meriden Triumph as well as those that
wish they had one. Our purpose is
inclusion instead of exclusion. Our goal is
to represent the Triumph riders of

Ever wonder who writes the
laws for motorcycles? Most of the
time, it’s not somebody who rides
a motorcycle. Most of the time,
it’s somebody who is caught by
surprise when a bike passes them
with a zoom or a roar.
These people get startled and
say, “There ought to be a law,”
instead of, “Maybe I should be
more aware.” These people don’t
understand that motorcyclists
make their bikes louder in the
effort to not be killed. These
people are unaware that we ride
mainly for the sense of freedom
that is difficult to duplicate on this
earth. These people feel that they
should dictate to us what would
make them feel better about their
lack of driving ability, rather than Member-At-Large. ABATE isn’t
ask us what the biggest threat to
bikers is.
We all know the answer to
that question.
The question to ask yourself
now is, “What can be done?”
The answer? Get involved.
Join an MRO. An MRO is a
Motorcycle Rights Organization.
Currently, there is one State
Motorcycle Rights Organization
in Florida, ABATE of Florida.
There are several Chapters in
Florida, including the five located
in the southwest three counties.
Peace River in the north,
Caloosahatchee, Estero River, &
Southwest Chapters in the middle,
and Gator Alley in the south.
