Te Tai Tamariki o Te Rawhiti Noho 3 Noho 3 went underway on the 28
th
of September. Although itwas great to see all the hype and excitement coming from thetai tamariki it was a bit sad knowing that Whaea Barb wasstuck at home fighting off a nasty bout of the flu.Starting off our 2 night 3 day noho was a powhiri for theYouth Transition Team from Kawakawa, which was done by Samuel and Bowen who sat on our Taumata backed up byour young wahine ma with their waiata. It was a great learning process for us all and was done without hesitation by the boys.(big ups to Sam and Bowen for stepping up).Following the powhiri our tamariki spent a few hours learninggames and a few Mau rakau moves from MatuaWally Aperahama and Matua Mark Heremaia.
(Matua Mark Heremaia)(Matua Wally Aperahama)After lunch Mariao took the group through a bit of role playing exercises and Whaea Jacci did a few waiata withthem.
