The Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) special events in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Communications
and Information Technology is establishing production and transmission facilities in Sharm El Sheikh, including:

- the complete ERTU show goes from the place of the event (12u > 23u)
- common press room
- availability of common data base
- possibility of FTP-service in pressroom (upstream < 640 kbps)
- stand up position
- studio facility (“Glass Studio” to be booked on site or contact tpotvin@unog.ch)
- tape play out ( available formats: BetaSx,DigiBeta ,IMX,Beta Sp , Dvcam, Dvcpro)
- connectivity to the global network through satellite (Eutelsat W3A in DVBS and others) with possibility to feed on
circuits (input = SDI embedded with 2 audio channels )
- The Egyptian ministry of communication & information technology is offering a media centre with all the facilities of
internet connectivity wired and wireless, PCs, faxes international lines, telephones, printers, photocopy machines. Also, they
are offering for all the journalists a daily lunch at the media restaurant which is adjacent to the media center so they can follow
up on their daily work as well.
