The Richardson Police Department released crime statistics today for Group A offenses (i.e. murder, sexualassault, robbery, assault, burglary, theft, and other crimes) recorded this year.Citizeninitiated calls for police service during October2009totaled 4,447compared to 4,775for the samemonth in 2008, a 6.9% decrease. The day of the week with the highest percentage of calls was Friday,which averaged 159calls each week. Year to date there have been 46,303citizen-initiated calls for serviceas compared to 46,260the previous year, a 0% change.
