Principals Report:
Banking project is under way and looking for students to take out a loan. Rayna has created avery professional, fun loan application.Ray has found a Violin fund that was funded by a community member through raising fundselsewhere many years ago. We have approximately $4500.00. Ray asked the “donor” if wecould use the money for other music endeavors like different musical instruments and possiblylessons, and the answer was yes if the instruments are not going easily rented by students. Theschool has purchased a CELLO!!! And I hear it’s a beauty. More to come on this.Ray has applied for a grant from the Woodstock endowment fund to build a greenhouse. We’llsee if we get it….The grades 3-6 Necap testing state average is 440; our school came in at 441.
Treasurer Report:
Crystal was not able to make it tonight. Rayna reported about $3800.00 in checking.
Secretary Report:
Volunteer signup sheets are posted at school and ads are in the paper for our upcoming fall breakfast. A pie making sign up will also be posted at the open house. Think Food!!!!I had some ideas on changing up the PTO meetings a bit: like holding seasonal meetings (4 per school year) to discuss our fundraising and goals. Other ideas were to keep our meetings as theyare and add a potluck or provide dinner to get more attendance with some added input for our year. The future is bright!!!
