For your Romeo and Juliet paper, you’ll be writing about:

Fate and how it how it’s use reenforces the concept of Romeo and Juliet being unable to control
their own destiny.

For this essay, you will need to delve deep into the subject, to both explain what fate is, where it
occurs, and how Shakespeare uses this to his advantage in showing his audience the inevitable failure
of R&J’s relationship.

I’ll be expecting not less than 5 typed pages (12pt, Times New Roman, double spaced, 1” margins...)
on the subject. In that length, you’ll need at least 15 quotes and specific examples, along with
copious analysis and explanation of how/why those quotes show fate, as well as how these examples
speak to the larger theme in the play.

Due Thursday, November 19th at the start of class.
