MEET FRANCIS CHAN
Francis is the founder of Eternity Bible College
and Cornerstone Church Simi Valley (USA).
He is the author of best-selling books Crazy
Love, Forgotten God, and Erasing Hell. Francis
is currently working to start a church planting
movement in San Francisco and launching a
countrywide discipleship movement.
Francis is married to Lisa, and they are the parents
of four children three daughters Rachel, Mercy
and Eliana and a son Ezekiel.
It is true that God may have called
you to be exactly where you are.
But, it is absolutely vital to grasp
that he didnt call you there so you
could settle in and live your life in
comfort and superfcial peace.

I love making disciples, but it hasnt always
been this way. So often, disciple-making
is looked at as a program or set meeting
time once a week. Yet when we look in
scripture, we see that it is a lifestyle- a
sharing of life.
Though it can be heart-breaking at times,
it has also been most rewarding. Though
time consuming, I see now that it truly was
the most efcient use of my time. We will
defne discipleship biblically and focus on
how to ft meaningful disciple-making into
a busy schedule.
Most leaders share an unspoken guilt about
the lack of personal evangelism in their own
lives. We busy ourselves with other tasks.
We do meaningful ministry. But we struggle
because we have no peace that we havent
even told some of our neighbours about
Christ.
For years, I could preach boldly but became
a coward when it came to sharing my faith
with strangers and friends. Honestly, I still
waver back and forth. Its so much easier to
study for a sermon and fll our schedules with
meetings with other Christians.
We will be talking about how to renew our
passion for sharing the gospel, or igniting
that fre if you have never been one to boldly
share.
