“Bits and Pieces of Info to Make Life on the Ranch Easier to Manage”
 What’s Happening Around TownWell, I believe we have made it to the homestretch! One more full week, and then we willhave the opportunity to unwind with family andfriends and rejoice in God’s abundant provisionin our lives! I am so looking forward to Thanks- giving, and I hope this upcoming week will be areally special time for the students as we put ona thankful heart and as we learn about ourmany blessings as Americans!During our last full week of school before the brief week to follow, we will learn two of  the three final letters of the alphabet we haveyet to cover (x and y). We will continue to studyand practice our ones, teens, twenties, and thirties number families in addition to learning more about telling time! Miss Brenner and Ihave decided to take a break from science thisweek after finishing our unit on seasons so wecan focus on the history behind Thanksgiving. Please check the Bible section for moreinformation on the specifics of what we will belearning next week.I hope to start reading circles after Thanks- giving, so may I encourage you to take tenminutes each night to work with your child onshort vowel sounds and blends. A list of ideasand activities is available on the Rarin’ to Readactivity guide I sent home two weeks ago. The PTF ChristmasStore will be open to students on the 8th and9th, so they can buy “gifts” for siblings, friends,and you! Also, please be on the look-out for anew (orverygently used) book. We will bedoing a book exchange in our class this year tocelebrate Christmas. There will be moredetails to come! Finally, don’t forget to read ten minutes, five nights a week, if you areparticipating in the Book It! program! Asalways, please ask if you have any questions!
 A: I want to thank those of you who haveagreed to bring in items for a needy childduring the time of the year when we reflect onall our many blessings! Many of you havealready sent your items with your child toschool, so thank you! The last day to bring initems is this Friday, November 20. We will thenassemble the boxes and ship them overseasbefore Christmas! There are still a few itemsyet needed, so if you would like to get a small toy for a girl and boy or a package of under-wear, please let me know! The students seem very excited to share their gifts with littlefriends across the globe! Again, thank you foryour generosity!
