There were 54 objections.Andy Sheppard has contacted planning but awaiting feedback, should have theinformation by next meeting. Brain mentioned no input from police regarding the planning proposal, why? – Kate to find outPolice to look at number of accidents at Cheapside/Alcester Street – Phil to look into.John Tighe concerns were that each complainant should have had 3 minutes to speak however at the planning meeting it was decided to lump individual consultees intoone 3 minute. E.g. 54 complainants should have had 3 minutes each however onlyone person allowed the 3 minutes. Again Andy Sheppard will look at this as part of his liaison with planning.Residents are still having issues with the Abattoir. Yvonne Mosquito has visited withthe inspectors. Both businesses and residents have complained however they are incompliance with regulations. Andy Sheppard has asked regarding the BCP andwhether as more housing in area they will consider a move for the Abattoir?Digbeth Walkabout was great with some residents involved, notes and photos weretaken. The Fleet and Waste Manager arranged for a road sweeper/extra bins onBradford Street and an extra recycling Bin – all been done. Praise to Dave and AndySheppard. Dave will attend a residents meeting if required. The bin outside Paragonnot been emptied for two weeks!

730pm – Watched Inside Out. Entertainment Sector and residents discussing noiseissues. Very good informative piece including John at Spotted dog and Kent atRainbow.Yvonne Mosquito’s response states that there was clearly a mistake on behalf of the planners – residents should put an email to 3 local councillors. This was meant to bean urban areaA mistake was made by the council, checks that should of being done weren’t.Residents should send emails to the council representative. David Tatler to give us proper legal opinion. Independent Noise Survey not available.Yvonne Mosquito – How many residents complained about the noise that theresidents group are aware of? She only had 5 email complaints. Residents Meetingsupportive of Vibrant Digbeth. Residents believe there is a lot of noise from theCustard Factory – have they ever had a Noise Abatement? Been a councillor in thearea for 14 years – why are there only noise problems now?Are there any plans to control traffic on Bradford Street? And noise from cars/busses? Nothing planned at this time – would expect more noise from traffic if anything.Andy Sheppard will look at calming methods, but the scaled down development onBradford Street is due to start January 2010. The area needs development – there arederelict buildings/graffiti/rubbish and its embarrassing for residents living in the area.Adam does have new plans – will attempt to email out.Issue of Sec.106 money raised again – Adam still unable to find out where this moneywill be spent. Believed that the time runs out January 2011.Good news – Coach Station still on for completion December 2009.
