Inside This Issue
Halfway Point
If you needed to meet someone for lunch, coffee or a meeting on the
opposite side of where you work or live its helpful to have a halfway
point. Or say youre taking a trip, a halfway point would be a good
place to stop and recharge before the remainder of the journey.
Halfway points can be a good thing sometimes. Its a point where we
can stop, recharge, reflect, make adjustments and look forward to
what is ahead. Its hard to believe but we are at the halfway point of
our missionary term. We have roughly 2 more years here in Hawaii.
We have seen the Lord do great things to grow the ministry and as
we gear up for the remainder of our time we are excited for the
greater things He will do. We look forward to continue strengthening
the foundation of this ministry and building a framework for what
the Lord will continue to do in the years to come. We continue to ask
the Lord Whats next? after 2 years. We dont know if He desires
us to stay here longer or wants us to move on to a new area. We do
know that, however He leads, we will follow. We are thankful for
each and everyone of you and for your part on our support team.
Without you we could not have made it to the halfway point and the
ministry would not be where it is today. We look forward to your
continued partnership for the next two years and we are excited for
the greater things He will do. We know that as Paul stated in
Philippians 1:6, He who began a good work will bring it to
completion We are thankful that you are on this journey with us
and we look forward to the next 2 years with you.

The ministry of CEF continues to grow here in Hawaii. We
have seen a lot of doors open these past few months and
others are continuing to open up. May 31
st
will be 2 years we
moved to Hawaii and we have seen God do so much in that
time. We continue to lay a foundation so that the ministry
here will continue to impact the lives of children with the
Gospel for years to come. In January, the Lord allowed me
to train 6 new volunteers from a Korean Church to begin a
Good News Club

at a new elementary school. This club

began a month later and currently has 18 children attending
each week. I continue to provide training and work alongside
all current Good News Club teams. It is encouraging to see
the enthusiasm and commitment from the various teams each
week as they seek to help the children hear Gods Word,
grow in their walk and feel loved and appreciated. Every club
that meets each week and every club that is started helps to
make an eternal difference in the lives of he children and
people of Hawaii.
The Lord has been faithful to us each month and has
provided and continues to provide for our every need.
Sometimes we are short of our budget, but God has a way of
working it out. What a wonderful God we serve! In 2014,
we gained 2 new supporters and we are very thankful for
that as we are now currently at 50% support.

Ministry Updates
In March I took a trip to Maui, where I trained 5 new volunteers
to continue working with a Good News Club on that island. It was
a lot of training in a short time, but it was an enjoyable time
seeing the passion this team has for the children of Maui. On this
trip, I visited 3 churches and spoke with the Pastors and ministry
leaders. As a result of this trip, 2 more Good News Clubs are in the
process of being started in the schools and training will be held in
May.

In February, I said Aloha to a wonderful group of Korean
children and Sunday school teachers after 6 months of being
the interim Childrens Pastor. Every Sunday I led childrens
church for 2 services. It was such a blessing to teach Gods
Word to approximately 50 children each Sunday and lead 4 of
them to the Lord. It was also a blessing to train the new
Childrens Pastor to minister to these children.

In an effort to network with other Christians & Churches we
exhibit at the various Christian conferences on island. This year
we have exhibited at the Christian Homeschoolers of Hawaii
(CHOH) and the Hawaiian Islands Ministry (H.I.M) Conference.
We were able to connect with a number of Christian individuals,
Pastors and organizations. Because of these networking exhibits, I
was able to connect with a Pastor and was able to train 13
members of his church to do an on going ministry for children at a
homeless shelter.

GNC Volunteers on Maui
After completing the ministry in Maui, I took a trip to
Molokai. I worked with a church there as they held an
outreach, Aloha Monday Night, where they provide a meal
for the less fortunate children and their families. I was
able to teach a Bible lesson for children and their parents
and other adults. Approximately 90 individuals heard the
message of salvation. I also spoke with a few Pastors on
this trip and 1 Pastor plans to start a Good News Club in
the school in the Fall. I plan to return to both Maui &
Molokai in April to do some follow up and pioneer new
ministry opportunities.

Prayer Requests
1
I was reading John 11 about Lazarus dying and Jesus
bringing him back to life. Jesus knew Lazarus was ill and
he eventually died. Jesus, knowing he was dead, stayed
where He was two days longer before going to Judea.
When He arrived, Mary came and fell at His feet saying,
Lord if you had been here my brother would not have
died.(v32) Jesus could have gone to Judea the moment
He heard Lazarus was ill because He loved him dearly.
Instead, He waited until Lazarus was dead. Sometimes it
is the same way with prayer; we pray, trusting God to
show up in a particular way, but He does not. Time goes
by and we do not seem to get the answer we are looking
for. Why? Maybe it is not Gods timing and maybe we
would not appreciate or grow deeper in our relationship at
that point in time. His refusal to answer is not a rejection
of our request. You see, God wants us to grow closer to
Him and wants us to continually seek Him even though
we do not get the answer we are looking for. He wants us
to realign our request to His will so that He can do
2
something greater in our life so we can experience
Him in a more profound way. I have asked the Lord
to provide our full support for our family, but He still
has not. He has provided, though, for our needs each
month, He has provided a greater peace, a spirit of
contentment and a greater measure of faith to
continue to trust Him. Please pray for:

Our family continues to do well and we really enjoy
our family times together. Timothy continues to be
homeschooled and enjoys it. He is in his last few
weeks of his Classiscal Conversations homeschool
group. He enjoys playing with his friends and
building puzzles. Annikah loves playing with
Timothys friends and going to the playground. She
also enjoys building her puzzles. They both attend
AWANA and Good News Clubs each week. Esther just
celebrated her 1
st
birthday. She is walking and getting
into the cupboards as her siblings did at her age.
Kristin is amazing as always. She continues to work
part-time for the CEF office, homeschools Timothy as
well as execute her other daily responsibilities. Our
family hosts a weekly Bible study for our church as we
seek to help grow and establish the church plant

Aloha Community Church. We look forward to being in
Virginia in May for a short visit. We had no plans to visit
due to finances, however, we received a love gift specifically
for our family to attend the CEF International Conference.
This was an unexpected blessing and we look forward to it.
