Get Green Communities out of Rockland

Massachusetts Green Communities was formed in 2008

for the purpose of implementing Agenda 21 at the town
level
Agenda 21 was announced to the world at the 1992 Rio Earth Summit. It is a set of guidelines
to drastically reduce the worlds energy, water use, population and promote high increases in
the number of living units in city centers. This is called U.N. Agenda 21-Sustainable
Development. President Bush and leaders from 178 nations signed this document pledging that
their nations would implement Agenda 21 policies. In 1993, President Clinton formed the
Presidents Council on Sustainable Development and gave a one million dollar grant to the
American Planning Association to write a guide book to implement Agenda 21 across the U.S.
Smart Growth was the result.
Supporters of Agenda 21, like Mr. J. Gary Lawrence, an adviser to President Clinton stated
that in order to successfully implement Agenda 21s principles, the public must not be aware of
that fact that Agenda 21 is driven by the United Nations. This is the reason why you will find no
referenced to Agenda 21 on the Green Communities web site:

Continued membership in Green Communities will lead to higher property tax, limit the ability
to use your property, compel you to submit to energy audits, the installation of smart meters,
green propaganda in your public schools, green teams and green police, expensive and
unnecessary building codes, mileage tax, energy usage tax, and many other restrictive
ordinances. It also explains the increased construction of wind turbines, and solar farms.
