As we enter the nal two weeks of school, please make sure that your child gets enough rest so that they can focus on their assignments. Energy and excitement levels are high at this me of the year and we want to make sure that our students remain healthy and are making posive choices to maintain their well
In the classroom, our grade 8 students are busily preparing for one of their major end
year acvies, Advocang for Change. Their work will culminate in a summit
type meeng where they share their re-search and opinions on global issues on Thursday, May 29. We hope you’ll be able to join us and support your child. As the senior students of the Middle School, the students also enjoy the privilege of a few special events. On Friday, May 30 the students will hear about the transion to High School and enjoy a Dinner Dance, parcipate in out-reach acvies on June 2, and enjoy an Acvity Day on June 3. Finally, the Moving On Ceremony will take place on June 4 in the Fine Arts Theater from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. We are looking forward to a posive end for our students as they say farewell to their Middle School years.
Please be informed that PowerSchool will be closed starng Friday, May 23 in order for teachers to write report card comments. Pow-erSchool will reopen on June 6 so that second semester reports can be viewed. Report card distribuon will begin on June 11.
Looking ahead…The last day of school will be on Thursday, June 5 and students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Please make the necessary arrangements to have your child picked up from school.
