Description

Inter-governmental contract whereby Alamance County agrees to house immigration detainees for the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and ICE agrees to pay the County $ 61.00 per-detainee, per-day of detention. The rate has since been adjusted to $97 per "detention day," and for fiscal year 2008, the facility averaged about 74 immigration detainees per day.
