from the Artistic Director
There has been an incredible journeyduring the past 40 years and it hasbeen my privilege to be at the helm orthe last eight. The Company continuesto perorm a unique combination o acting and dance and the high level o achievement in both these areas wasvisible in the revival o
Wuthering Heights

Theseperormances reiterated or me theunique place that NBT holds; combininggreat dancing with an unrivalled ability totell a story. So oten as a company wehave not been outspoken enough about this quality and its power to move andcreate empathy with its audience. Part o the journey o this 40th anniversary hasbeen or me to admit how proud I am o what we have achieved and the quality o engagement we give. The season opens with the return o my
Dracula

It is wonderul to be perormingit again in the Playhouse and buildingupon our relationship with this specialtheatre. We continue to perorm Claude-MichelSchönberg’s

This will bea great event as 40 years melt into oneevening. The ollowing weekend on 12 Decemberwill see another unique NBT event;our Gala perormance in aid o the

Thanks to thegenerosity o many o our colleagues, anelite group o the best dancers in the UKalongside dancers rom the Stuttgart Ballet and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, to namebut two, will join NBT in a sensationalcelebratory perormance. Newly createdshort works or the evening will includean original by Gillian Lynne and the NBTdancers in a Wayne McGregor piece, making this an unmissable event. I can't believe this is a ballet - but what a perfect medium for Dracula.
