Hyperbole (the best thing EVER!!)
Hyperbole is obvious exaggeration used to emphasize a point or add excitement and humor to astory. People often use expressions such as "I nearly died laughing," "I was hopping mad," and"I tried a thousand times." Such statements are not literally true, but people make them tosound impressive or to emphasize something, such as a feeling, effort, or reaction.
Directions:
Create some attention getting, original hyperboles in response to the followinglines of dialogue. Be sure you finish the sentence and include punctuation.1.Don’t you think the TV is too loud?The TV is so loud___________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________.2.Are you really going to eat the entire hot fudge brownie sundae?I’m so hungry______________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________.3.Look at that incredible amount of snow piled up outside.The snow is so deep that_____________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________.4.Do you really want to go to the movies? When I finished, however, Iwas so tired I couldn’t move so I didn’t get to see the show.
