Case Study Overview

i. Brief descriptions on the mobile app. Background

The GPA Calculator application is an application that can determine the GPA for
semester. This application is already in Android market and it was develop by
MrEngineer13. Current version of this application is 2.0 and it require android
version 1.5 and above to use this application.

This application give user up to 25 semesters, and for one semester, user can record
seven subjects. For one subject it has until 10 credit hours and for the grade until F.
To use this application, user need to enter their credit hour and grade for current
subject or subjects that have been taken. The application will automatically calculate
the GPA for that semester. Other than that, user also can record their credit hour and
grade for past and next semester, so that this application will calculate the cumulative
GPA.

future requirements from (ii) Scenario technique
Justify reasons on suggested prototype type

From the suggested future requirement above, we recommend to use the
evolutionary prototyping to demonstrate it.

The evolutionary prototype allows refinement of an existing program and do minor
improvements, rather than re-writing a whole program, this also can increase profit.
Other than that, it also can save a lot of planning stage work where development can
get stuck.
