this is a story of two individuals
an entrepreneur andan academic
who were both in pursuit of the
 hottest trends on Twitter
.unbeknownst to each other, they independently uncovered the same, key finding
that there is a 'landgrab' for attention on twitter.in exploiting this finding, the entrepreneur, whoseculture embraced experimentation, was able to grow a successful business. his team was active in the community and quickly incorporated new ideas into their product.the academic, on the other hand, faced many strugglesin an established culture of academic rigor andanonymous peer-review. she had to deal with multipleset-backs before attaining even the modest achievement of speaking at a conference.
