Richard McBrearty from the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden will talk to Trust members about the History of Scottish Football.
Richard will cover 3 main themes:
* An overview of the museum and the collections, which have recently been recognised as being nationally significant).
* Accies related material in the collection. The museum archives go back to the 1870s when the club was formed and has quite a large programme collection and some unique items including a medal from the early 20th century.
* A broader overview as to the research which the museum is conducting, including information on Scotland as the birth place of the football club (Edinburgh 1824) and the role of Scots in taking football across the world.
Richard will also be happy to take questions, so come prepared to contribute!
This evening also presents a great opportunity for Accies supporters (and any others present!) to bring along some examples of their own memorobilia to show everyone present.
That old chevron shirt, Paul Hegerty’s shinpad, a programme from the 1935 cup final or even Joel’s jersey from last season – what ever you have – bring it along and let everone see.
