Digital currency has taken a hold throughout the world as another form of
currency. However, Law Enforcement is still playing catch up with digital
currency. Would you know how to respond when taking a report from a victim
stating, I had 1434 BTC ($640k) in mt. gox and they stole it! ? You can bridge

Instructor:
Jonathan Birk is an intelligence analyst with experience in
telecommunications, social media, terrorism, and world events. His formal
education includes a Bachelors Degree in Intelligence Studies from American
Military University.
Jonathan has taught Social Media courses at LA Clear for four years. He
recently spoke at the 2013 FBI Violent Crime Behavioral Analysis Seminar
providing an insight to the criminal element in social media. Various agencies
have used his expertise to assist with their cases that involve social media.

This class can be viewed from your home or office via live stream! To insure a
quality experience, a desktop with a good internet connection is required.
Windows PC computer only required at this time. Not supported by Mac or
mobile devices. Microsoft Silverlight is required for viewing. Most new
computers have this software installed.
After registering for the class and paying using a Credit Card, you will receive an
email with an access code the day before the class. This class is ONLY for Current
Law Enforcement personnel, prosecuting Attorneys/ their investigators, custody
employees and other support personnel. All viewers and attendees will be
vetted. Law Enforcement email preferred.
A certificate of completion signed by the Director of the LA HIDTA will be
received at the conclusion of the class via email.
