Prepared by Clayton R. Wright, crwr77[at]gmail.com, November 16, 2009
This list of
selected
events focuses primarily on the use of technology in educational settings and on teachingand learning. Only listings from January to June 2010 are complete as dates, locations, or URLs are not availablefor a number of events after June 2010.A
Word
format is used to enable people with limited or high-cost Internet access to find a conference that maymatch their interests or obtain conference proceedings. (If you are seeking a more interactive listing, refer toonline conference sites.) Consider using the “Find” tool under Microsoft
Word’s
“Edit” tab or similar tab in
OpenOffice
to locate the name of a particular conference, association, city, or country. Then, “cut and paste” a listof suitable events for yourself and your colleagues. Please note that
events, dates, titles, and locations may change; thus, check the specific conferencewebsite
. Note also that some events will be cancelled at a later date. All the information below was obtained fromInternet sources and announcements in educational journals. All Internet addresses were verified at the time of publication.
No liability is assumed for any errors that may have been introduced inadvertently
during theassembly of this
conference list. If possible,
please do not remove the contact information
when you re-distribute the list as that is how I receive updates and corrections.
Conference organizers
: You could help viewers of your conference website if you place the date and location of the event in a prominent place on the first web page and provide an explanation of all abbreviations used, including the name of your organization or association. Since we live in a global village, it would be helpful if thecountry in which your event will be held was listed. Do remember, that not everyone has high-speed broadbandaccess, thus it can take time and be costly for some to view videos and sophisticated or high-resolution graphicson the opening page of the conference site. Perhaps you could make these features optional. And, please don’tforget to include an e-mail contact address.
