Dear Student,Gartner, the leading market research firm for technology and business advisory services, isplanning our Spring Emerging Trends conference. Our conference audiences and our clients,who are both IT and business executives, have been expressing a growing interest in the impactof what has become known as the “digital native”. Their interest is in three areas; what is theirimpact as a consumer, as an end user and as a potential future employee in IT organizations.We have decided to ask the students themselves to participate in a panel discussion which willbe our closing keynote in Las Vegas, Nevada on 10 April 2008 and in Barcelona, Spain on 15May 2008.
We are interested in students between 18 and 24.
You must submit a video clip not longer than 8 minutes total in which you answerquestion number one on the next page, and then pick two of the three remainingquestions to answer.
We are looking for something fast and candid. These clips should not be over-produced.
You can use cell phones or any convenient device for recording video.
You must sign the release form for use of the clips by Gartner (see page 3).
You should submit their entries toSymStudents@gartner.comby 22 February for LasVegas and by 7 March for Barcelona.We will select three or four individuals based on the “interview video clips” submitted to actuallyparticipate on-site as a panel member. The students selected to participate on the panel will beflown to the conference venue and provided hotel and lodging by Gartner. If you are not chosenfor our on-site panel, we still may choose to use your video clip in our presentation. We lookforward to watching your answers to the questions on the next page.Thank you
