SEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEKNikki Fowler - Tennessee, OH, Jr., 6-2
 Junior Nikki Fowler helped the Lady Vols reach the 20-winmark for the second straight season, as she continued her out-standing all-around play this weekend with two more stellar per-formances on the road at Auburn and Georgia. As she has been all season,Fowler was the team’s top offensive weapon this weekend, taking over athird of the team’s swings and recording 40 percent of its kills with anastounding total of 51 in just two matches. She averaged 5.10 kills, 2.80 digsand 1.20 blocks per set while collecting her 10th and 11th consecutive dou-ble-doubles, giving her 14 this season and 32 in her career. Fowler also hit.327 with just 14 errors in 113 attacks, which is 102 points above her seasonaverage. Against Auburn she pounded out a match-high 22 kills, in additionto tallying 15 digs, four blocks and a pair of assists. She followed up that per-formance on Sunday at Georgia where she delivered a personal-best 29 killson .362 hitting (29-8-58) and narrowly missed her second career triple-dou-ble with 13 digs and career-high tying eight blocks. The 29 putaways standas the ninth-highest total in a five-set match in school history (highest in 25-point scoring format), tie for the most by an SEC player in any match this sea-son (Jasmine Norton vs. LSU) and top her previous best of 28. She now hasfive matches with 20+ kills in 2009 and 14 in her career.
SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEKMichelle Williams - LSU, MB, So., 6-1
Williams dominated the front row as LSU defeated No. 10Florida and South Carolina on the road. The Tigers have wonseven straight and 15 of their last 16 outings. Williams recorded1.71 blocks highlighted by seven stuffs in LSU’s 3-0 sweep over SouthCarolina. She also tallied five blocks in the Tigers historic win at Florida.
SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEKJasmine Norton - Arkansas, OH, 5-10
Norton paced the Razorbacks in its weekend matches atMississippi State and Alabama. She posted a match-high 15 killsagainst the Bulldogs and added 10 digs to complete a double-double effort. In the weekend finale, she posted a 24-kill, 21-digperformance in Arkansas’ five-set win over the Crimson Tide. Norton led allplayers in both categories and the 21 digs are a career-high, bettering her pre-vious mark of 17. With her kill total against Alabama, Norton eclipsed the20-kill mark for the ninth time this season and seventh time in SEC play. Shenow has double-digit kills in 13 consecutive matches. For the week, Nortonaveraged 4.33 kills per set, 3.44 digs per set and 5.11 points per set.

ALABAMA Crimson Tide -
Alabama split of pair of Western Division matches this weekend picking up a3-0 win (26-24, 25-18, 25-19) Friday againstMississippi before falling in a five-setter (25-18, 25-17,20-25, 25-27, 15-13) to Arkansas on Sunday.Alabama’s offense was stellar against the Rebels hitting .418 in thematch. Another bright spot was the serving game where the Tide col-lected six aces. Once again, junior Alyssa Meuth led Alabama in killswith 16, while classmate Kayla Schmidt handed out 41 assists in thematch. Freshman Kelsey Anderson led all players with 12 digs. OnSunday, the Tide was led by senior Brooks Webster who notched 13kills and 16 digs, her third double-double of the season. Meuth alsoposted 12 kills and six digs. Anderson and junior Schmidt added 18and 10 digs, respectively. Next up, the Tide travels to Baton Rougeto take on the LSU Tigers on Sunday, Nov. 22. Opening serve is slat-ed for 1:30 p.m. (CST).
ARKANSAS Razorbacks -
 Jasmine Norton was namedthe SEC Freshman of the Week for a sixth time, themost by a player in a single season since the inceptionof the award in 2005. On the court, the Razorback vol-leyball team split its weekend matches on the road atMississippi State and Alabama. In the opener, Arkansas dropped afour-set decision to the Bulldogs, 25-15, 24-14, 21-25, 25-13. In theloss, Norton had a match-high 15 kills and added 10 digs for a dou-ble-double. Fellow freshman Cassie Clarke came off the bench todish out 22 assists for the Razorbacks. Kristin Seaton and AmandaAnderson added nine and eight kills, respectively. In the weekendfinale, Norton paced the Razorbacks with 24 kills and a career-high21 digs in a five-set victory over Alabama, 25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 25-27, 15-13. Clarke made her first career start in the match and had 38assists. Seaton chipped in 11 kills and libero Phoebe Bautista tallied15 digs. The Razorbacks return home for a Nov. 20 matchup againstAuburn and a Nov. 25 contest with Georgia.
AUBURNTigers -
Auburn enters the week with a 15-13 overall record and are 7-10 in conference play. OnFriday, the Tigers battled back after being down twosets and defeated Tennessee, 3-2 (11-15, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 17-15), at the Student Activities Center. Thewin marked just the second time this decade the Tigers have bestedthe Lady Vols. Junior Morgan Johns led Auburn offensively with 17kills, while libero Liz Crouch finished with a team-best 19 digs.Freshman Sarah Bullock picked up her sixth double-double of theyear, finishing with 10 kills and 11 digs. Classmate KatherineCulwell added 10 kills and four blocks for the Tigers. Setting duoChristina Solverson and Sara Shanks each recorded double-doubleson the evening. Solverson had a career-high 18 digs to go with 27assists, while Shanks finished with 12 assists and 15 digs. JuniorLauren Mellor led the squad with six blocks and Alyssa Davis addedfour. On Sunday, Auburn struck first, but could not hold on as theTigers fell 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 11-25, 12-25) to No. 11 Kentucky athome. Bullock finished with 13 kills and eight digs to lead Auburn.Shanks picked up her second-consecutive double-double, recording21 assists and 10 digs. Libero Liz Crouch led the Tigers with 17 digson the day. The Tigers head out on their last roadtrip of the regularseason, traveling to Arkansas on Nov. 20 for a 7 p.m. match. Auburnthen faces Ole Miss on Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Oxford, Miss.
FLORIDA Gators -
The Florida volleyball team contin-ues one of its toughest stretches of the season thisweekend when it travels to Tennessee and Kentuckyfor a pair of critical Southeastern Conference matches.The Gators are 20-4 overall and 14-3 in the SEC, cur-rently in third place in the league's overall standings. Floridadropped a 3-1 decision to Western Division leader and 19th-rankedLSU last Friday evening in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. In thatmatch, the Gators were led by sophomore outside hitter Kristy Jaeckel, who turned in a team-high 18 kills as one of three Floridaplayers in double-figure kills. Jaeckel also added nine digs and threeblocks for a team-high 20.5 points. Sophomore right-side/setter KellyMurphy charted her NCAA Division I leading eighth triple-double of the season and the 14th of her career with 13 kills on .333 hittingwith 29 assists and 15 digs. Senior libero Elyse Cusack on Fridaybecame just the third player in SEC history to eclipse the 2,000-digplateau. She now has 2,000 career scoops and needs 37 more to tieformer Kentucky standout Jenni Casper for second-place all-time inSEC history. On the season, the Gators are led by a trio of playerswho average better than 3.0 kills per set. Jaeckel averages a squad-best 3.26 kills per set, while sophomore outside hitter Colleen Wardand Murphy follow with 3.14 and 3.12 kills per set, respectively.Cusack heads the defensive effort with 4.36 digs per set. Florida trav-els to Knoxville, Tenn., to face Tennessee at 7 p.m. ET Friday beforesquaring off with Kentucky at 2 p.m. ET Sunday in Lexington, Ky.Sunday's match will be televised by SEC-TV/FS South.
GEORGIA Bulldogs -
The Georgia Bulldogs conclud-ed the home portion of their 2009 schedule last week-end falling to 11th-ranked Kentucky, 3-0, and toTennessee, 3-2. On the year, Georgia now stands at15-13 overall and 6-11 in league play. During lastweek's action, junior outside hitter Erika Clark became just the 16thplayer in school history to surpass 1,000 career digs. She entered theweekend needed 17 to achieve the feat, and after picking up eightagainst the Wildcats, Clark secured the milestone with 13 digsagainst the Lady Volunteers. On the year, Clark has tallied 305 killsand 286 digs. With three matches remaining, Clark needs just 14digs to also become just the 16th player to join Georgia's single-sea-son 300-300 club. The last time a Bulldog achieved this feat was Julia Petruschke in 2004. Additionally, sophomore setter KathleenGates is closing in on her second-straight 1,000 assist season as sheneeds just five to do so standing at 995. Both Clark and Gates willlook to accomplish their milestones on the road as the Bulldogs fin-ish the 2009 season with three away matches including contests atOle Miss Friday and Arkansas Sunday before concluding at Auburnnext Wednesday.
KENTUCKY Wildcats -
The 11th ranked Kentucky vol-leyball team capped its final two-match road swingwith two more victories to improve to 26-2 overalland 16-1 in the SEC. Kentucky’s win at Auburnmatched its season total in victories from a season-agowhen UK went 26-6 overall. Several UK players reached career mile-stones in the two wins this weekend. Senior libero BriAnne Sauerposted her 1,500th career dig and moved into the all-time top-10 listin the career SEC record list. Junior Sarah Mendoza posted her1,000th career kill in UK’s win at Georgia. Finally, senior SarahRumely, a four-year starter, set the all-time UK career assists recordwith 40 assists in a win at Auburn. Kentucky returns to action thisweek when it entertains South Carolina on Friday and Florida onSunday. The match against the 10th-ranked Gators will mark UK’sSenior Day festivities honoring seniors Sauer, Rumely and BrookeBartek.
