Same neighborhood issuesPAL building and Abandoned Church are being used as places to hang out, do drugs etc.Church - property owner sends someone out on a weekly basis to clean it upPAL building will soon be going to City Council so it can be listed as surplus property and possiblysold.PAL building location is being looked at by developers as property they would like to acquire

House under construction on Auzerais across from the marketMultiple arrests from people hanging out in the area.Construction on the house should be done by February

DPNAC should explore participating in the Neighborhood Watch programThis program is very effective in deterring crimeComments and concerns were made regarding the body shop on Josefa where Columbia deadendsinto it

Creeks Coalition proposed 100’ riparian set-back which passed as city policy

They are now going back out to the community because the policy is currently beingcompromised

- improvement will wait until after the utilities have beenundergrounded

Housing Rehab
- can ask for up to $200,000. Will need to have an additional meeting todiscuss the program and the screening process for applicants

- Jodene will ask the Creek Coalition how to partner
•
Traffic Calming
- Winnie (DOT) is collecting data. Asked that traffic on Bird be included
•
Tree Planting
- Our City Forest will present at the March NAC meeting
•
Dumpster Day
- Thru Council Office, DPNAC will get one in October. Consider coordinating a DPNAC event with the Dumpster Day.

Pedestrian Crossing at Gifford and San Carlos
- still trying to reach Julian at CalTrans

Neighborhood Outreach
- Kimberly started Yahoo group and blog. Asking property ownersto get involved

Sidewalk and street improvement
- need new streets

Traffic Calming
- look into traffic calming measures used in Vendome for Cirque (signs on a-frames)
