hysicians for Human Rights (PHR) mobilizeshealth professionals to advance health, dignity,and justice and promotes the right to health forall. Harnessing the specialized skills, rigor, and passionof doctors, nurses, public health specialists, and scien-tists, PHR investigates human rights abuses and worksto stop them. Since 1986, PHR has exposed human rightsviolations and called for accountability on a range ofissues, including trauma inicted on civilians duringconict; lack of access to healthcare due to racial, ethnicand gender discrimination; violence against women;torture and inhuman treatment of detainees, and poorhealth stemming from vast inequities in societies.
