Instructions for foreign (international) students


Students are required to do the following:

- On the arrival day:
o Check in at the reception where he/she fills in the registration form for the Aliens Registration Office.

o Pay the deposit of CZK 1.500, and particular part of the September rentIN CZECH CROWNS AND IN CASH
ONLY. Fill in the accommodation forms. Then the student receives the keys to the room, bed linen.

o Check the room equipment. All detected defects (missing equipment) have to be immediately (max 24
hours from the check-in) reported in the particular form and the form has to be delivered to the reception
or the accommodation officer. Any later complaints will not be taken into consideration.

o Visit the accommodation officer no later than the following working day in the office hours in order to
hand in 2 passport size photographs, complete the accommodation card, conclude the Accommodation
Contract, pick up the accommodation ID card and inform the accommodation provider about electrical
appliances which the student brought with him/her.

o No later than the 5
th
day from the check-in deliver the accommodation officer the direct debit payment
confirmation confirmed by the Czech bank. If the student does not have a bank account, charge for the
accommodation has to be paid in cash. appliances which the student brought with him/her.

- During the stay:
o Pay the accommodation fee, each month by the fifth day of the particular month due to be paid for. If the
accommodation fee is not paid by the 10
th
day of the given month, the student will be charged a penalty of
CZK 300, a reminder will be sent to the student and the students Internet connection will be terminated.

o If the accommodation fee is not paid until the 15
th
day of the particular month, the accommodation
provider is entitled to terminate the Accommodation Contract by giving a ten days notice. In this case the
deposit will not be returned to the student.

o If the student stays for the whole academic year but want to leave Hall of Residence for some period of
time (e.g. Christmas), he is obligatory to pay the rent in advance for the month(s) he/she will be out.

o The student has to dentify himself/herself with his/her accommodation ID card at every single entry to the
Halls of Residence and inform the reception of all visitors.

o Check regularly your email box and box for incoming mails at the Hall of Residence reception.

o Keep their room, kitchen and bathroom tidy, respect the quiet hours from 22:00 to 06:00, observe the
Residence Halls Rules, the provisions of the Accommodation Contract and follow the instructions posted
on the Halls of Residence notice boards.

- Before and on the departure day:
o Inform the accommodation officer about the departure date as soon as it is known. If you want to
terminate the contract before the agreed date, mutual agreement in writing has to be concluded at least 2
months before your departure. Otherwise the deposit will not be returned to the student.

o Clean up the room and hand it over to the cleaning lady on working days until 13:00.

o Check out from the accommodation at the accommodation office during the office hours on working
days (confirmation of Pre-departure list students have to pay any outstanding amount).

o On departure, return the room key, accommodation ID card and all borrowed bed linen to the reception.
If all the set out requirements are fulfilled, the deposit will be refunded to the student.

The deposit will not be refunded to the student if the student fails to hand over the assigned room in a clean and
tidy condition, damages the Halls of Residence equipment, and/or fails to observe any provision of the
Accommodation Contract.
