The water cycleThe water cycle is alsoknown as the hydrologicalcycle. There is the sameamount of water on the Earth now asthere was when the Earth began. Thewater cycle is how the earth's waterrecycles itself.

The cycle includesprecipitation, evaporation, condensation, and transpiration. Earth's water keepschanging from liquid water to vapour andthen back again. This cycle happensbecause of the sun's heat and gravity.

How does the Water Cycle work?
1. First of all, watermoleculesfromlakes, rivers, streams, reservoirs, andthe sea get heated up by the sun andthen turn into vapour that rises into theair.2. Next, these water molecules form intoclouds, this is because a process calledcondensation occurs.3. When the air and the water cool, theyform drops of water which then fall tothe earth as rain. If they are frozen, they become snow or sleet.4. Once the water reaches the ground, itcan flow across the land until it reachesrivers, lakes, streams, or the sea.It can also sink into the ground and flowbecause of gravity through gaps in rock,
