According to the project program, on the 19th of October 20L3 participants from
Latvia arrived at Kielce and the next day they visited City of Kielce. The rest of participants
arrived on the 21't of October 2013 atthe airport in Warsaw, where they were welcomed Sy
the coordinator of the Polish school. After their arrival, we had together a short tour of
Warsaw City and then we went to Kielce. After the teachers' accommodation at the hotel,
where the guests were welcomed by the Polish school staff, the pupils continued their tour to
:
Kije, where they were picked up by their host families.
On the 22nd ofOctober 20l3,all Comenius partners were welcomed at "Gimnazjum
w Kijach" by the headmaster of the school and the Polish teachers. They also attended a
meeting with borough leader Mr Krzysztof Slonina. At school all guests could hear the
Comenius anthem song by Polish children, they were shown a dance performance presented
by a school dance club. After that all partners had the opportunity to see our school and take
part in demonstrative lessons, then they were asked for lunch prepared by Polish studen{s,
parents and teachers and could try some traditional Polish food. A the end of the day all
guests had the chance to see the play "Puss
in Boots" presented by Polish students. In the
evening the teachers returned to the hotel in Kielce and the children to their host families.
On the 23'd of October 2013, the participants took part in a trip to Wieliczka
and Cracow. We have the great opportunity to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, often refered to
a

as "the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland" with its attractions such as statues, three
chapels and an entire cathedral that has been carved out of the rock salt by the miners' The
Wieliczkasaltminereachesadepth
of327 metresandis over287 kilometreslong. In1978rit
was placed on the original LTNESCO list of the World Heritage Sites. After that we went to
Cracow, where we could admire the most famous places in this beautiful city: The Old Town,
The Krak6w Barbican, St. Florian's Gate, Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven also
known as St. Mary's Church, Cloth Hall, Adam Mickiewicz Monument, The Collegium
Maius, The Wawel Dragon, Wawel Castle.
Thursday, the 24th of October 201.3 was the day of creating voices art. After a short
introduction at the hotel all the teachers and the students were creating artwork in Wietrznia
Nature Reserve. In the aftemoon, after having lunch, the participants were creating their
poetry and have time for oral performance. Then the partakers from each country presented
their own project activities realised in June and from August to October
On the 25th of October 2013, we visited the Kadzielnia Nature Reserve in Kielce and
the "Raj" Cave, a famous limestone cave in Poland.-Jaskinia Raj

Cave) is located in
the Swigtokrzyskie Mountains. A great coat infiltrative puts Raj cave in a row the most
beautiful caves in
poland.
Total lenglh of corridors studied is240 meters but only 150 metrps
is available for tourists. Dripstone decoration make wonderful stalactites, stalagmites,
columns, draperies. The cave was formed approximately 360 million years ago at the bottom
of a shallow sea. A wide variety of remains of ice-age mammals was found here, such as the
bones of the cave bear, mammoth and woolly rhinoceros. Another important discovery was
that of traces of Neanderthal man, who appears to have inhabited the cave about 50000 years
ago. These include flint tools and a unique barrier built from reindeer antlers near the entrande
to the cave. Then all participants were gathered in Gimnazjum w Kijach and they were given
certificates and souvenirs. After having lunch prepared by Polish parents, the pupils could
spend a nice time in the party whereas the coordinators discussed the mobilities and activities
and it was established that the followirig
project meeting will be in 7-13 April. All the
partners involved in the project have approved the final decisions.
On the 26th of October 2013 there was a time for visiting Kielce. We saw the Kielce
Cathedral and the
palace
of the Cracow Bishops. After lunch we have time for visiting a
Miniature
park.,Wonderful
World" in Krajno where we could delight a marvelous miniatures
of famous buildings and places in the world.

On the 27th of October 2019 it took place the departure of participants by bus to the
Warsaw airport. Deeply moved tedrchers, parents and students gave thanks for a wonderftrl
time they could spend togeiher and said goodbye with a promise that new friendships survive.
