Survey Objectives
Ipsos Reid is pleased to present the City of Thunder Bay with the results of the statistically valid public opinion survey regarding the proposed event and convention centre (event centre).
The survey is intended to:
Gauge unaided and aided awareness of the proposed event centre project and process;
Measure levels of support and opposition to the proposed event centre based on the public’s current understanding of the project and when provided with more information about the project;
Identify the issues that are important to whether residents support or oppose;
Seek residents’ concerns about the proposed event centre;
Gauge expectations for potential property tax increase and affordability levels; and
Understand patterns of participation in spectator events.
