Prince Charles: Eighteen months ago, a group of scientists came to me and warned me that if we did not halt the destruction of the tropical rainforests - very quickly indeed, the catastrophe of climate change would accelerate at a terrifying rate, along with the loss of those lide sustaining services that are delivered free of charge and which humanity takes for granted. Huge amounts of greenhouse gases are emitted from the cutting down and burning of the forests -more than the entire global transport sector -
