decisions made )% +DD.
Due to the dec$ining #or*$oad re$at ed to the im'roing econom%, and the )udget
reductions )ased on decr easi ng !eder a$ !unding, the agenc% has had to '$an !or
,, and im'$ement ,, a do#nsizing to *ee' 'ace #ith the dramat i c reductions in
resources and !unding. &he agenc%-s st a!!ing 'at t er n and #or*$oad hae
historica$$% )een count er, c%c$ica$ to the )roader econom%, re.uiring increasi ng
resources during recessi onar% 'eriods, and decr easi ng resources during
im'roing economi c conditions. During the recessi on, CUIAB #as met #ith
un'r ecedent ed $ee$s !or UI a''ea$ s and dramat i ca$$% increas ed st a!!ing $ee$s to
meet the demands. &he !eder a$ e/t ended )ene!it 'rogr am ended in Decem)er
2010, resu$ting in a mor e dramat i c dec$ine in UI a''ea$ #or*$oad !or the current
%ear 2010, 14, and 'ro(ect ed !or ne/t 123 2014, 14.
