El VIII Congreso Latinoamericano de Ingeniera Mecnica (VIII COLIM 2014) tiene como objetivo el difundir las teoras, investigaciones,
experiencias prcticas, avances, y las tendencias en el campo de la ingeniera invitando a profesores, investigadores, estudiantes y
profesionales de la industria. El COLIM (anteriormente COBIM) es el octavo encuentro convocado por la Sociedad Bolivariana de
Ingeniera Mecnica y en esta edicin es organizado por la Universidad Politcnica Salesiana del Ecuador. Este es un evento con el cual se
busca promover el desarrollo e innovacin tecnolgica alrededor de la ingeniera mecnica, fomentando el intercambio de experiencias y la
creacin de redes internacionales de conocimiento.

A1. Ciencias aplicadas a la ingeniera
mecnica: Bioingeniera biomecnica,
materiales y metalurgia, mecnica de fluidos,
energa - energas renovables, eficiencia
energtica, mecnica de los medios continuos,
estructuras, instrumentacin, mecnica general -
mecnica experimental, mecatrnica -
electromecnica - automtica, mtodos
numricos - mecnica computacional y
simulacin, inteligencia artificial y DSP,
refrigeracin y aire acondicionado, sistemas de
representacin - CAD, termotecnia -
termodinmica, tribologa, vibraciones
mecnicas y acstica.
A2. Diseo y concepcin de mquinas y
componentes: Aeronutica, diseo de
elementos de mquina, maquinaria de
transporte, mquinas herramientas, otras
mquinas, sntesis y anlisis de mecanismos -
desarrollo de productos.
A3. Fabricacin de componentes y mquinas:
Control de calidad, ensayos y verificaciones,
CAM, metrologa, planificacin y control de la
fabricacin, procesos de fabricacin,
produccin industrial - gestin de produccin,
sistemas integrados de gestin de calidad.
A4. Explotacin de mquina: Aspectos
medioambientales, mantenimiento,
reacondicionamiento.
A5. Ingeniera del automvil: Seguridad,
vehculos elctricos e hbridos, asistencia en
la conduccin, gestin en la industria
automotriz.
A6. Mtodos y tcnicas para la formacin en
ingeniera: Formacin, experiencias de
formacin en ingeniera, laboratorios en la
formacin del ingeniero.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA
LOS AUTORES
Los trabajos deben ser enviados en espaol,
portugus o ingls a travs del sitio web
www.colim2014.org la extensin de los
artculos debe ser de un mnimo de 4 pginas
y un mximo de 6, incluyendo figuras y
referencias bibliogrficas (ver formato
http://ingenius.ups.edu.ec/). Solo los artculos
que tengan al menos a uno de sus autores
registrado como participante sern incluidos
en las memorias del congreso que contarn
con registro ISBN. Los treinta mejores
artculos sern sometidos a la revista Ingenius.




Doce artculos presentados en ingls y que
hayan sido seleccionados por el Comit
Cientfico sern incluidos en el Journal

ubicada al sur de Ecuador que se encuentra a
una altitud de 2.535 m.s.n.m. Tiene un clima
templado, con una temperatura promedio de
17C. Debido a su excepcional valor
universal, Cuenca fue declarada Patrimonio
Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en
1999, cuenta con una amplia oferta hotelera y
existen varios vuelos y transporte terrestre

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Papers must be sent in Spanish, Portuguese or
English through the website
www.colim2014.org. The extension of articles
should be a minimum of 4 pages and a
maximum of 6, including figures and
references (see a template at http: / /
ingenius.ups.edu.ec /). Only papers that have
at least one of the authors registered as a
participant will be included in the conference
proceedings which will have registration
ISBN. The best thirty articles will be
submitted in Ingenius journal.






Twelve of the papers presented in English and
that have been selected by the Scientific
Committee will be published in the Frontiers
of Mechanical Engineering Journal

PLACE AND TRAVEL INFORMATION
The congress will be held at Universidad
Politcnica Salesiana in Cuenca
www.ups.edu.ec. It is a city located in the
south of Ecuador at an altitude of 2,535 m. It
has a temperate climate, with an average
temperature of 17C. Due to its "outstanding
universal value", Cuenca was declared a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. It
has a wide range of hotels and there are
several flights and ground transportation from

The eighth Latin American Congress of Mechanical Engineering aims to disseminate theory, research, practical experiences, developments,
