Tales of Crete is a series of stories based on my experience living in Crete in the summer of 1979. That summer AIDS was becoming known to the world. The advent of that disease marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new, painful chapter in our evolution. That being said, Tales of Crete speaks about the environment, the people and the magical events that marked my time there. It was my last great adventure; a last hurrah for a way of life. Although I recommend reading the series from the beginning, starting with the preface, these chapters stand alone. They are marked with numbers, as well as titles.
