Before you can embed a video clip into your Protopage you will have toupload the video to a video hosting website. I suggestVimeo.com1.Register for an accounta.Click the “Join Vimeo” button located at the top right of thewebpage windowb.Enter your first and last name, email address, and a passwordc.Check the box that verifies that you agree withtheir termsand conditionsd.Click the “Join Vimeo” buttone.They will send you a email to confirm your accountf.When you receive the email, it will contain an accountactivation link to click2.Upload a Videoa.Once you have clicked the activation link, you’ll be directed toyour “Vimeo Home Page”b.Click the “Upload a Video” buttonc.Click the “Choose a File to Upload” buttond.A window will open that allows you to browse to the video fileto be uploadede.Select the video file and click the “Open” buttonf.The uploading process will start once you click the openbuttong.While your video is being uploaded, you can do the following:i.Add basic information such as a title, description, andtagsii.Set Privacy settings like: who can see, download, orcomment on a videoh.Once your video has uploaded and you’ve filled in thenecessary information you can click the “Save Changes”buttoni.Once you’ve clicked the “Save Changes” button, you canaccess the video by clicking the “Go to Video” button j.A hyperlink to the video is also sent to your email address3.Embedding the Video Embed code into Protopagea.Go to your video and click the “Embed” button in the top rightcorner of the videob.A window will open that says “Embed this Video” at the topc.Copy the HTML Embed code that is displayeda.Go to your Protopage and add a “HTML/Rich Text” widgetb.At the bottom of the widget there is an option to “Edit as”c.Select HTML by clicking the circular radio buttond.Paste your embed code into the text box in the widget
