Editor’s Notes
Whoops!I got a little carried away this month. What can I say, therewere just too many incredible stories to pass up. Consequently, theissue has a few more pages than usual. The important thing is, if you don’t have the time to read theissue straight through in one sitting, do it in several smallersessions. I’m working hard to make each article a world untoitself. Visit often, each time picking a new destination. Maybetoday you can stop by Sarah Tolar’s world, read the review, clickon her links and fully enjoy what she has to offer. Thentomorrow check out another artist and discover a whole newworld with different colors, different focus, different music, different links, and different surprises. (For instance, Mishonoffered up a personal audio message to his fans and you canonly find the link by reading his article.) And hey, if you’re liking what you read and are a writer yourself and want to submit a piece or an idea, please do! I coulddefinitely use a little help. Especially if you have a “how-to” piece about some aspect of songwriting or the music business. Also, we are open to unsolicited press kits. If you are asongwriter, artist, producer, publicist, friend of the band, member of a street team, etc. feel free to add Songwriter’sMonthly to your press list. Thanks for reading!Allena1foster@aol.com

sheoffers the listener every delectablenuance of her gift. Her debut album is filled withremarkably tight smooth jazz tracks.Songs such as “Early MorningStillness” are as comforting as atender kiss from a lover, while “ComeAlong For The Ride” beckons youcloser with acoy grin and ahint of thrills. However, it istracks like “Coffee Man” which providethe magic. Thecharged gentlerhythm, involving lyrics, haunting melody andbreathtaking performancemake this a definitehighlight of the album.Think Rickie Lee Jonesmeets Olivia Newton-John. Sweetly hip.
