Theme: World of Self, Family and Friends
Topic: Having fun
Introduction: This lesson focuses on writing. Pupils should be able to write simple
sentences.
Content Standard: 3.2. By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able
to write using appropriate language form and style for a range of
purposes.
Learning Standard: 3.2.2. Able to write simple sentences with guidance.
Objective: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to
a) state their likes and dislikes
b) write simple sentences correctly.
Teaching Aids: Smiley chart, manila cards, colour pencils, ribbon.

2. Teacher will paste the Smiley
chart on the board. Teacher will
demonstrate on how to fill in the
chart with smiley and non-smiley

to try fill in the Smiley chart on
the board.

4. The pupils will then write their
likes and dislikes in sentence
form:
a) Ali: I like reading, swimming

football.

5. Teacher will divide the class
into five groups. Pupils will
complete the Smiley charts in
their groups and write down their
likes and dislikes in different
colours.

6. Pupils will then present their
work to their friends in the class.

7. Teacher will collect all the
group work and compile it into a
Big Book called 2 Arifs :
HOBBIES:Likes and Dislikes

BOOK to the class.
