DRAFT

April 4, 2014

HON. DITAS DELA PENA
Punong Barangay
Brgy. Anahaway, Palo, Leyte

Dear Maam,

Greetings!

The recent dissater greatly affected the lives of the people of Palo, particularly the youth. Many
of them were left homeless and even lost their loved ones. As a result, their enthusiasm and vigor
diminished to the point of losing hope. To overcome this problem, the Local Government Unit of Palo,
under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Remedios Matin L. Petilla, through the Tourism, Culture and
the Arts Office, utilized the Arts as an instrument to rehabilitate the survivors of Super Typhoon
Yolanda in terms of psychological and emotional wellbeing.

Anent to this, a Music Workshop for Voice will be conducted on April 21- May 21, 2014,
Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 AM- 4:00 PM at the Second Floor Lobby of the Newly Renovated
Municipal Building. The said workshop is open to Elementary Pupils (Grades Three to Grade Six) and
High School Students (First Year to Third Year). The activity aims to promote camaraderie among the
youth of Palo and to further develop and enhance their musical skills and talents. Trainees who will be
able to finish the workshop will form the core group for the Enchanting Palo Youth Choir.

In this regard, we would like to invite six (6) participants from your Barangay- Three (3) Girls
and Three (3) Boys, who are willing to develop their singing skills and abilities. Participants are
requested to bring their snacks and lunch as it will be a whole day activity.
