Kerin graduated from Humboldt High School in 1973, her parents are
Jerry and WillaDean Lang of Langs Flowers in Humboldt. She attend-
ed Concordia University in Seward Nebraska graduating as a Director of
Christian Education and then San Francisco Theological Seminary where
she was Ordained in Pastoral Ministry in San Diego Presbytery. Kerin
has served numerous congregations as Solo Pastor, Associate Pastor, and
Interim Head of Staff Pastor. Kerin continued her Education as Clinical
Pastor through Episcopal Community Services and served as Fire Chap-
lain in San Diego County. Following, she was invited to serve in a Chap-
lain Residency at Balboa Naval Hospital and the Veterans Hospital in San
Diego. Kerin also served as Chaplain and Accountability ofcer for the
Disaster Medical Assistant Team/FEMA in San Diego County and was
deployed with her team to Louisiana to aid hurricane victims. For the past
11 years Kerin has served as a Hospice Chaplain with San Diego Hospice
and most recently as Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator for Iowa
Hospice/A Gentiva One Company. Kerin is the proud Mother of four chil-
dren Jayson, Jim, Joe and Christina and four grandsons Archer, Hunter,
Jonathan, and Jackson and her beloved Pappian dog Happy.
