It is our tradition at Liberty High School that our faculty members honor
our graduates by marching with them and forming an honor court. You will
notice that each faculty member is wearing his or her black college gown with
their collegiate hood. There are three collegiate gowns (Bachelors, Masters,
Doctorate) and the different color collegiate hoods represent the college colors
from which the faculty members received their degrees.
The graduates are also wearing honorary distinctions for exemplary
academic performance. The Honor Graduates with Highest Distinction (4.0 +
GPA) are wearing a red, white, and blue honor cord. The students graduating with
High Distinction (3.75 to 3.99 GPA) are wearing a white and blue honor cord.
The students graduating with Distinction (3.5 to 3.74 GPA) are wearing a white
honor cord. The students in the Top Ten Percent of the class are wearing an honorary
medallion on a red, white, and blue ribbon. The students that were honored with
Department Awards for 2014 are wearing the smaller medallion on a red, white,
and blue ribbon. The SCA offcers and class offcers are wearing white sashes.
Members of the National Honor Society are distinguished by wearing a white honor
collar. The academic honors denoted in this program are based on seniors grade
point averages earned through the end of the frst semester of term two, 2014.

It is our tradition at Liberty High School that our faculty members honor our graduates by
marching with them and forming an honor court. You will notice that each faculty member is wearing
his or her black college gown with their collegiate hood. There are three collegiate gowns (Bachelors,
Masters, Doctorate) and the different color collegiate hoods represent the college colors from which
the faculty members received their degrees.
The graduates are also wearing honorary distinctions for exemplary academic performance. The
Honor Graduates with Highest Distinction (4.0 + GPA) are wearing a red, white, and blue honor cord. The
students graduating with High Distinction (3.75 to 3.99 GPA) are wearing a white and blue honor cord.
The students graduating with Distinction (3.5 to 3.74 GPA) are wearing a white honor cord. The students
in the Top Ten Percent of the class are wearing an honorary medallion on a red, white, and blue ribbon. The
students that were honored with Department Awards for 2014 are wearing the smaller medallion on a red,
white, and blue ribbon. The SCA officers and class officers are wearing white sashes. Members of the
National Honor Society are distinguished by wearing a white honor collar. The academic honors denoted in
this program are based on seniors grade point averages earned through the end of the first semester of term
two, 2014.
