Once again, the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District is calling upon your group or organization to host a table as we kickoff our “2014 Safe Summer and Crime Prevention Initiative” on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The location will be the Oxon Run Park, Simon Field, 4th and Mississippi Avenue SE.
We will have space for about 30 vendors. The event will feature crime prevention information on how neighbors can work together to solve problems and make their community better.
We will have music, interactive activities and a baseball game where the MPD 7D Night Hawks vs. WPGC Naturals. Come out have fun, meet celebrities, eat some good food and help get the summer off to a wonderful and safe start. We expect about 500 residents to attend, so come with lots of information.
