Fato zeylem is a full-time psychologist at Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological

Counseling Guidance and Research Centre (EMU-PDRAM). She completed her Bachelor of
Science degree in Psychology at Near East University in 2003. After that, between 2003-2004,
she completed a training the trainee program in Meeting Educational and Emotional Needs of
Children With Special Needs in Regular School Settings and Play Therapy certificate program
in theory and supervision. She completed her Masters degree in Developmental Psychology at
Lancaster University in 2006. She has worked at several special education centres with children
having special needs during 2006-2008. Between 2008-2010 she worked at Girne American
University Psychology Department as a lecturer before she joined EMU-PDRAM team in 2010.
Fato zeylem completed the training programme in CognitiveBehavioural Therapy Skills on
the Application of CognitiveBehavioural Therapy for Depression and Anxiety Disorders
between 2010-2011. Currently, she is continuing a PhD programme at Roehampton University,
Department of Psychology, Centre for Applied Research and Assessment in Child and
Adolescent Well-being (CARACAW) since 2012. She is studying on Psychological Well-being,
Romantic Attachment and Divorce Attitudes of Emerging Adults having Divorced/Non-divorced
Parents in North Cyprus in her PhD thesis. She is a member of Turkish Psychological
Association and administrative member of Independent Psychologists Initiative.
