TESTING DAY
You will be taking a version of the ACT on Tuesday, November 24
.
The day will start at 8:00 AM
and the exam will last until approximately noon. There are three practice versions of the ACT:Freshmen will take the EXPLORE, sophomores will take the PLAN, and juniors will take the ACT.These tests are all practice exams for the ACT, which is taken in spring of junior year for admittance to college. You will be getting information about Testing Day Thursday in advisory. Ifyou have questions about this, please see your counselor.

OnMonday, November 23rd we will welcome 14 speakers from thecommunity to visit our school andtalk to us about various topics inorder to promote awareness. This year we will have speakerspresenting information on thefollowing topics:• Advice for Girls• Advice for Guys•Choices & Consequences•Communication & NegotiationSkills•Conflict Resolution/Bullying •Dangerous Driving •Dating Violence/Relationships•Drug Awareness•Family Relationships•Gender Issues/Sexism•HIV/STI Awareness•Self-Care/Kindness to Self •Street Gangs: The New Organized Crime•Teen StressEach student will participate in 4sessions that will last for 40minutes each. This is a great day togain knowledge about topics youmay not know much about.
