 Burma Democratic Concern (BDC): This is the PRIME TIME to press junta23 November 2009Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) today calls for the world leaders topress the junta to do the national reconciliation.
Burma’s legitimate
leader, Aung San Suu Kyi has been calling for thegenuine dialogue to find the solution for the Burma crisis peacefully.
 Aung San Suu Kyi once said that “We do not want revenge, we d
o notthink there is anything particularly honourable or admirable about
seeking revenge, we want to find a peaceful settlement …we remain
 
committed to dialogue. It may be difficult to get there, but we’re
 
determined to get that. And we’re absolutely confi
dent that we shall
get that”.
 
Recently, Aung San Suu Kyi has sent a letter to the junta’s head
 General Than Shwe saying that she would like to co-operate withthe junta for the benefit of the people of Burma and also requestingto meet him.
“We hope
that the dialogue might open the door for peacefulnegotiation on the decade long crisis, paving ways for upholding
respect for human rights everywhere in Burma”,
said Myo Thein,the Director at the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC).The international community must find ways to strengthen the pressureupon junta to accommodate peaceful democratic transition. The Junta
should respond positively to the Aung San Suu Kyi’s humble
 proposal for the peaceful settlement of Burma crisis through dialogue.
