I made three different logos for the Echuca Moama Border Raiders to choose from.The first logo I made was very simple. The main focus was using the element of shape, withthe text wrapping around a soccer ball. The first logo also used the princple balance andemphasis. The logo had balance through the text following the ball on the top and bottom. Thesoccer ball used emphasis and is very clear that soccer is the sport that the logo is for. It alsomade the ball and text look 3d. I had to use Photoshop for this design because I didn't haveaccess to fireworks at this stage.The step by step instructions were:1. Open Photoshop2. Make a circle using the ellipse tool and hold down shift.3. Made text by pressing the T button and press inside the circle.4. Use the circle to shape the text.4. Hide circle by pressing the hide circle tool in the layers section.The second logo I made was a little bit more complicated but still very simple. This logo usedcolour and shape as its elements and balance, emphasis and unity. In the logo it uses yellow andwhite as it background and then a black and white soccer ball with pink text all over it sayingEchuca Moama Border Raiders. Then it uses blue text on the top of the soccer and down thebottom of the soccer ball. There is balance because the straight soccer ball and the horizontal textflattened out the crazy back ground.The step by step instructions are.1. Open fireworks Cs42. Customize the fill bucket to yellow. A big box should pop up down the bottom.3. Click on the fill box in there and change the gradient to spirals.4. Click randomly all over the page until you have a white and yellow combined background.5. Go into Google and insert a soccer ball image.6. Then fill in the white gap created by the soccer ball by carefully clicking around the ball doingthe same as 2 and 3.7. Change the bucket colour to pink and click on the soccer ball write in size 8 writing EchucaMoama Border Raiders and move it so it fits in a hexagon shape and then copy.8. The Paste the text in every box apart from round the edges.9. Estimate how much room is around the outside hexagons and judge how much text would fit init.10. Then click on the T tool again and write Echuca Moama in blue writing and move it on top of the ball.11. Click away then click back on the T tool and write Border Raiders and place it under the soccerball.12. Then you are done.My third logo wasn’t very simple and took a long time. My logo used the design principlemovement through the element of lines with them following the ball from the head to show hehead budded it. The logo also shows the soccer player is off the ground and is going up throughthe element of lines. It also shows emphasises on his face showing it is in pain through his shapeof his mouth from the soccer ball. The logo is in unity because when you think of a soccer playerthe majority of people are found to think of a soccer ball, if you include them both in a picturethey work together.The step by step is1.
