To breathe , sharks have gills to absorb oxygen from the water and release used gas
( carbon dioxide ) back into it . The heart pumps the blood to deliver oxygen and nutrients
,and taking wastes away . Like other animals , sharks have to eat . The food passes into
digestive system from mouth to stomach , intestine , and rectum will pass the indigestible out
of the body . Digested food is further processed in liver , which increase shark\u2019s buoyancy .
Kidneys remove waste from blood and regulate blood concentration .
