Tummy tuck surgery in India has become most popular among international patients. In abroad many people are interested in maintaining their body contour and aim or goal to have a flat and well toned Abdominal muscles but due to lack of time and lethargic they put on weight.


Causes for increasing weight:
In case of sedentary workers there is no strenuous work that can keep the abdominal muscles tight.

After Pregnancy the abdominal muscle become loose and sags.

Consuming more junk foods that keep stimulate to gain weight.

Other reasons like Hereditary, Aging, and any previous surgery in the abdominal region add even more weight.

Tummy Tuck surgery otherwise called as Abdominoplasty. It is a cosmetic surgery performed by specially trained cosmetic surgeons in India. Tummy tuck Surgery removes excess fat and skin; it restores weakened Abdominal Muscles smoother and firmer.

Tummy tuck surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else's desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. The decision to have tummy tuck surgery is extremely personal and you'll have to decide if the benefits will achieve your goals and if the risks and potential complications are acceptable.


Procedures of tummy tuck surgery:

Generally Tummy Tuck surgery performed under general anesthesia for the comfort of the patient through out the surgery.

Prior to surgery, you may be asked

To get lab testing or a medical evaluation,

Take certain medications or adjust your current medications,

Stop smoking well in advance of surgery,

Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding.


There are two types of tummy tuck surgery:

1.Partial Abdominoplasty: It is the simple tummy tuck, Cosmetic surgeons performing the surgery make a horizontal incision at only across the region where the muscle are more sagging. The fat removed under the skin and excess skin removed along with the cartilage tissue. The remaining skin is closed.

2. Complete Abdominoplasty: In this surgery the navel is separated from the surrounding tissue. It is a complicated tummy tuck surgery. This is done for majority of patients with more abdominal belly. The incision is made horizontally from one hip to other. The cosmetic surgeon will remove the excess fat, skin and tissues slowly and carefully. Finally the incisions are closed.

Post surgical drainage tubes are fitted in the incision area. After completion surgery supervisions are made. The drains reduce the swelling in the abdomen by collecting excess blood and fluid in the surgical region.

The incisions will be covered with surgical tape to insure proper healing.

An Abdominoplasty is a major surgical procedure that will remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tighten the abdominal muscles.



Recovery after the surgery:

The sutures are removed in 4th or 5th day depend on the patient condition. The patient may recover from the pain in 1-2 weeks, swelling in 2- 3 weeks and slight numbness in 4- 5 months. The patient is asked to go back to his / her work in 10 - 15 days after surgery. After the scar heals the final result with the out come of toned and healthy abdominal muscles.

Reaction because of anesthesia, Medications,

Keloid formation,
