Re: Information Requests \u2013 Donations 2006-2007
Dear Mr. Warfield:
I am writing in response to your "Request for Information about Records \u2013
Donors/Donations" emailed to the City Librarian on August 28, 2007.

In your request you ask \u201cto inspect all information about the following, covering
fiscal year 2006-2007 as well as current FY 2007-2008, and including related
documents such as grant applications and grant awards that were made prior to
the start of that fiscal year in preparation for that fiscal year.\u201d The Library has
conducted a diligent search and located documents responsive to your request.

Documents are available for inspection in the Library Commission Secretary\u2019s
Office in response to the following items: A. Amount and source of funds, good,
or services that the Library has: 1) accepted; 2) allowed to be collected; and 3)
directed or influenced the spending of; C, Grant requests/applications prepared
within the Library, whether or not forwarded to any outside funding entity; and D.
Library procedures and records for administering non-city revenues, including but
not limited to the following activities: 1) acceptance; 2) spending and accounting
for such revenues; and 3) evaluation of what was provided/used.

The Library has not located documents responsive to the following items: B.
Written agreements with donors, including any exchanges with persons or
entities regarding prospective donations that did not materialize; E. Letters,
emails, notes of meetings/conversations and other communications with outside
donors; and F. Job descriptions of employees with responsibility for obtaining,
accepting, managing outside donations \u2013 not including non-management staff
who may request or expend grants/donations.
