In today’s increasingly competitivemarketplace, the importance of creating a diverse work environmenthas never been more important. Yet,economic conditions are placing addedpressures on many organizations,putting Diversity programs in thebudgetary cross-hairs. In light of these challenging conditions and theresulting belt-tightening measuresacross nearly every corporatedepartment, the time is ripe to reassesscorporate Diversity Communications.What has become readily apparentis that the sustainability of Diversityefforts is essential. Much likeecological sustainability, Diversityprograms must be protected andnurtured, or else we risk their veryextinction.For many organizations, the prospectof losing all of the progress madeto-date is simply untenable.
