The tour includes meetings with local businesses and community leaders, newspaper editorial boards, fairs and other local events.President Shaffer: “We work for the people of Colorado. The only way we canadequately represent them is to sit down with families and small businesses acrossthe state to hear what's on their minds. That's why John and I are touring thestate. These are challenging times and we all need to pull together to weatherthis recession. By working together, we can accomplish anything."“We’ve really had a great time on this tour,” said Senator Morse. “When I askwhat the most important issue is in my district the first words out of the mouthsof my constituents is not ‘forest health’ or ‘water issues.’ But those are thetopics you hear about when you get away from Colorado Springs, or Denver, andvisit other regions in Colorado.
